He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Elmer Amundson; his spouse Mildred Amundson (Zimbelman); his children, Douglas and Susan; his granddaughter Courtney; and his mother Mabel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a scholarship that will be created for area students to attend a trade school.
