He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Detert and Vera Detert (Maschoff); and his granddaughter Piper Benton. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Kristine Casto (Brandon) of Eau Claire, Wis. and Kimberlee Benton (Corey) of Eau Claire, Wis.; his grandchildren, Evan, Cecily Casto, Wesley and Aubree Benton; his sisters, Karla Duncan (Willis), Kathy Nelson (Eric), Harley Urbain and Ethel Urbain; and his sister-in-law Starla Lutterman (Dennis).
