He was predeceased by : his parents, Gustave Fillner and Otellia Fillner (Jarlsberg); his son Gary Fillner; his wife Gloria Bassett; and his daughter Cheryl Bower.

He is survived by : his son Terry Fillner (Cindy) of Madison; and his grandchildren, Joe Fillner of Mount Horeb, Christina Biggs (Bo) of Basalt, Colo, Katie Diaz (Edgar) of Santa Fe, N. M., Liz Williston (Lance) of Belleville, Benjamin Krenz (Heidi) of Madison, Jennifer Racklin (Joe) of Fremont, Calif and Jeff Bower (Oas) of Thailand. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Care Center.
