He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Hamann and Ida Hamann (Callies); his former wife Anna Gustafson; his wife Betty Hamann; his brother Clyde Hamann; and his close friend Jane Webb.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Hamann (Bev), Jim Hamann (Jane), Jane Lahey and Meg Bollinger; and his sister-in-law Ruth Lockwood of Huntley, IL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Peters Pantry or Redeemer Lutheran Church in Howard's name.
