He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Betler and Ellen Heald Betler; and his brother Wesley Betler. He is survived by: his wife Karen Thorsen; his children, Don Betler (Dawn) and Kathy Blaas (Peter); his grandchildren, Kristian Blaas (Lee Bowman), Makena Betler (Jake Calgaro) and Kailee Merritt (Peter); his great grandchild Monica Merritt; and his sisters, Judy Williams and Karen Thorp.
