He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jirschele and Esther Jirschele (Cournoyer); his grandson Adam Neil; his daughter-in-law Joan; and his siblings, Dennis "Bud", Glen, Bob, Dale, Albert "Chip", Bill, Tom Jirschele, Joan Hanson, Lucille Schiferl and Utha Kille.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Erickson; his children, Elizabeth Bliven of Marshfield, Jeff Jirschele of Edgar, Mark Jirschele (Lynette) of Marshfield, Marilyn Heiman (Kelvin) of Marshfield and MaryJo Leick (Chris); and his siblings, John Jirschele and Esther Reinhart. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Neil's name to St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield Children's Hospital, Marshfield Medical Heart Research Department, or a charity of your choice.
