He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kolb and Grace Kolb (Raeder); and his brothers, Patrick and Dennis. He is survived by: his siblings, Gerald Kolb (Gertrude) of Spencer, Marianna Gennett of Marshfield, Paul Kolb (Ellen) of Stratford, Cathie Thieme (Giles) of Marshfield and Peter Kolb of Marshfield; and his sister-in-law Shirley Kolb. He is also survived by canine companion "Pabst" and many nieces nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted in Vernon's name for a charity to be determined.
