Scott Noyes Obituary
Scott P Noyes passed away on September 3, 2025, just five days before his 54th birthday, after bravely fighting ALS. Born on September 8, 1971, Scott lived his life with energy, loyalty, and a deep love for his family and friends. Even after his diagnosis in January of 2025, Scott carried himself with incredible strength and courage.
Scott grew up in West Bend, Wisconsin, where he made his mark early. At West Bend West High School, he was a standout athlete, swimming competitively and proudly leading the football team as captain. His natural drive and leadership carried him to UW–Madison, where he was a great leader for the crew team, forging lifelong friendships along the way.
After college, Scott spent several years in Illinois running a construction business before returning home. In 1999, he married Kristine Detert, and together they built a family and a life, raising their two children, Annabelle and Henry, who became the center of his world.
In 2004, Scott founded Heavy Glass LLC, where he poured his talent and work ethic into custom glasswork and shower doors. Known for his vision and expertise, Scott was truly among the best in his field and hands down, one of the hardest workers.
Scott also had an athlete's heart. He competed in triathlons, often side by side with Henry and his closest friends. Scott spent years coaching Henry's youth football teams and lapped up every moment. Through those experiences, he not only taught the value of discipline and hard work but also created memories that will be carried forever.
One of Scott's dreams was to have a place up north. In 2024, that dream came true when he and Henry purchased a home in upper Michigan. Surrounded by fresh air, country living, his son and friends who came to visit, Scott found great peace there. Even as his illness progressed, he cherished every moment he could up north — a place that will forever hold his spirit. His wish is for his ashes to rest there, where he felt the deepest joy, peace, and connection.
Scott is survived by his devoted mother, Catherine Noyes, who cared for him with unwavering love during his illness, his children Annabelle and Henry, and his ex-wife and friend, Kristine Noyes. He will also be remembered by the many friends who stood by his side, some since childhood, others made along life's journey. Scott was deeply grateful to each of you who "showed up" when he needed you most.
Those who knew Scott will remember his humor, grit, and strong convictions. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he instilled, and the memories he created. He was one of a kind.
There will be a celebration of Scott's life, date and location are to be determined.
