Kelly L. Roecker Obituary
Kelly L. Roecker (née Kluck) found peace on September 19, 2025, at the age of 46.
Kelly was the beloved wife and best friend of Eric, with whom she shared 17 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and devotion to their two sons, Mason and Cole, who were the absolute light of her life. She adored being "mama to her boys," and every day with them was her greatest joy. Taking a bike ride with them to grab ice cream, or watching them perform on the stage or the field, were just a few of her favorite things. She especially cherished time at the cabin, watching her boys fish among the peace and quiet of Wind Pudding Lake.
The cherished daughter of Thomas and Jean Kluck, and dear daughter-in-law of Steve and Mary Roecker, Kelly also leaves behind many relatives and countless friends whose lives she touched with warmth, humor, and care.
Professionally, Kelly was a consummate leader and mentor whose career in the events and consulting industry spanned more than 23 years. Known for her grace, generosity, and dedication, she set a gold standard among her peers. Colleagues admired her ability to balance ambition with compassion, and many were grateful for the guidance, encouragement, and friendship she so freely gave.
Kelly was known for being fully present in every conversation she had. Listening intently, eager to learn about others, and making each person feel valued. Her creativity and imagination lit up the lives of her children, nieces, and nephews: from gambling with M&Ms, to "Big Kid Dates," to special basement Christmas parties, Kelly created memories that nourished souls and brought joy to everyone who knew her.
Her marriage to Eric was a source of inspiration for many. With inside jokes, playful mockery, and plenty of flirty side-eye, their love was a model of humor, partnership, and devotion. In Eric's own words: "She was the most compassionate, funny, and strongest person I have ever known. The way she made people feel was remarkable. She had a warmth about her that could not be matched. Even in pain, fighting this awful disease, she found a way to make everyone calm. She was the most wonderful wife and mother anyone could ask for. The world will never be the same without her.".
In May of this year, Kelly was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver and kidney cancer. True to her nature, she faced this devastating illness with courage, grace, and positivity. She remained a rock for her family, a source of encouragement for her circle of friends, and a beacon of strength for all who knew her. After a short but intense journey of treatments, Kelly and Eric made the brave decision to focus on what mattered most: spending her remaining time surrounded by love with her family. Though the prayers for a miracle were many, her family and friends now find comfort in knowing her suffering is over, her light shines bright in heaven, and her spirit continues to guide them with the same strength, poise, and grace she displayed throughout her journey.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Schmidt & Bartelt funeral home 10280 N Port Washington Rd. Mequon, WI 53092 beginning at 1:00 PM, until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 PM.
In honoring Kelly's legacy of generosity, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to causes closest to her heart: United Community Center Strings Program – Donate Here Mason and Cole's College Fund – Contribute Here Boys & Girls Clubs of Milwaukee – Donate Here Kelly will be remembered for her boundless love, her loyal friendship, her professional brilliance, and her ability to brighten every room she entered. Heaven, no doubt, is now a little warmer and more welcoming, and we know the parties will be impeccably executed. Kelly's legacy will live on in the laughter of her boys, the joy of her family, and the countless lives she touched.
