He is survived by : his wife Rita Schaefer; his children, Douglas (Janet), Matthew (Kerstin) and Tiffany Hicks (Adam); his grandchildren, Malyha, Lucian, Asriel and Jyannalee; and his brother Donald Schaefer (Diane). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
