He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Herman Sandman and Liela Sandman (Miller); his wife Fay C. Kraus; his children, Don Sandman (Patti) and Sue Morrison (Douglas); and his grandchildren, Megan Silva (Manoel), Chad Sandman (Elizabeth), Caralie Roselius (Justin), Kristin Morrison and Kate Kahles (Chad).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Plum Lake Rescue Squad or the St. Germain United Church of Christ.
