She was predeceased by : her husband John. She is survived by : her children, Colleen Birk (Robert), John (Tami), Patti Alar (John), Kevin (Gwen), Brian (Molly), Kathy, Karri Matera (Mike) and Kelly Janezick (Jeff); and her siblings, Kathleen Dane, John David Thompson, Tim Thompson (Vicky) and Laurie Kojdecki (John). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Messmer High School appreciated.
