He was predeceased by : his parents, Aaron Jesse and Verna Jesse; and his siblings, Carol, William, Allen, Irvin and Nancy.

He is survived by : his wife Carole Jesse; his children, Michael Jesse (Denise) and Cynthia Freeman (Brent); his grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Zachary, Matthew and Lucas; his great grandchildren, Kendra, Christine and Daniel; and his siblings, Vernon Jesse (Ethel), June Magiary and Mary Welch (Steve). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to use towards Leukemia research.
