He was predeceased by : his daughter Madeleine; his parents, Ruth (LaRosh) and John F. Hanson, Sr.; his siblings, Earl (Ellen Jean), Charles (Phyllis), Alice Abrahamson (Everette), Lois Frette (Wendell), Florence and Mary Lovvik; and his nephew Paul Lovvik.

He is survived by : his daughter Jennifer Lynn (Hanson Meyer); his wife Margery (Counsell); his son-in-law Todd Meyer; and his granddaughter Madeleine (Marco).
