He is survived by: his wife Sharon Moore; his children, Misty Woods and Shawn Woods (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Trista Churkey (Aaron), Colton Ziemendorf (Dax), Chloe Sachs, Marcus Woods, Dane Woods, Jesse Woods, Kadence Woods and Kelly Woods; and his siblings, Nancy Gormong (Daniel), Marshall Woods, Larry Woods (Becky), Harvey Woods (Leeann) and David Woods (Brenda). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Baker Street Wesleyan Church in honor of Vernon's longstanding dedication to the church.
