He was predeceased by: his parents, George Legler and Marie Legler (Stump); his brothers, Richard and Arthur (Dorothy Jelle Legler); and his siblings-in-law, Thomas C. Anderson, John Theodore Marty (Ted), Olga Marty and Mabel Marty.
He is survived by: his spouse Anna Maria Marty (Mary); his sons, Harold Legler (Joan) and Ronald Legler (Amy); his grandchildren, Ivy Anderson (Jeff), Mary Walden (Jack), Jesse Legler (Brooke), Katie Cruse (Dave) and Alaina Legler; his great grandchildren, Otto, Otis Anderson, Justin, Nick Walden, Ian and Brody Legler; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Cruse and Brody Cruse; his great great grandchild Jordynn; his sister Ruth Anderson (Legler); and his sister-in-law Betty Legler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Swiss UCC Stained Glass Window Fund.
