He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughter Sarah Peterson (Jesse Power); his stepchildren, Cara Vacha (Chuck) and Chris Moran (Janel); his grandchildren, Benjamin Peterson and Chloe Peterson; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Moran (Tosha Thompson), Cyle Vacha and Cameron Vacha; his siblings, Ron Volkert (Ann) and Kathy Volkert (Randy Kach); his nephews, Eric Cullen and Christopher Cullen; and his great-nephew Jack Cullen. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Many great times together at all the Volkert get togethers. I stayed at the farm a few times and he showed me how to drive farm machinery. Great memories for sure! He will be missed.
