It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winnifred Polenz of Omro, Wisconsin, born in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Basterash and Anna Basterash (Hall); her husband Gordon Polenz; her brother LeRoy "Bud" Basterash; her sister-in-law Ruth Polenz; her stepsiblings, Dale Basterash and Kathy; her niece Jean Mark; and her great-nephew Ben.

She is survived by: her son Gordon; her stepbrother Don Basterash (Cari Hartman); her sister-in-law Ellen Basterash; her sibling's children, Dale Jr. and Duane; her adoptive children, Julie Ann Novak (Jeffrey) of Manitowoc, WI, William Edison Mark (Joy) of South Milwaukee, WI, Perry Alvin Mark (Debbi) of Eure, SC and Reginald Charles Mark of Kingsford, MI; her sister-in-law Nancy Polenz; her sibling's children, Edward Miels, Greg Miels (Timothy Miels), Carol (Patty Polenz), Carolyn, Kathy and Christine (Daniel Polenz); her grandchildren, Jenni Lynn Johnson of Sault Ste, Carrie Ann Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO, Kenneth Wain Fyvie (Danielle) of Florence, WI, Nora Jean Krout Sault (Robby), William Edward Fyvie of Manitowoc, WI, Chrissy, Christopher Mark, Ronnie Mark, Khristy Mark, Derek Mark, Jessica Mark, Melissa Mark, Jeremy Mark and Regina Mark; Julie, Willie, Perry, Reggie, Jean, Benjamin, Winnie, Scott Basterash (Jenny), Bailey, Lilly of Watertown, WI, Shawn Basterash (Shannon), Tyler and Amber of Franklin, WI. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson.
