She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Asmus and Olga Asmus (Knutson); and her siblings, Betty Grangaard (George), Nancy Kearns, Don Wang (Carla) and David Asmus (Rita).
She is survived by: her husband David Bakalars; her children, Paula Klein (David) and Scott Bakalars; and her grandchildren, Alex Peterson and Dayna Zielke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (1931 Loomis St, La Crosse, WI 54603). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
