He was predeceased by : his father Andrew Bera; his wife Judy Henning; his mother Johanna Jacobson (Spychalla); his adoptive father Alvie Jacobson; his nephews, David Jacobson and Sprynger Jacobson; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Helen Henning (Rolfs); and his brother-in-law John Henning (Barb).

He is survived by : his siblings, Rose Speener (Larry), Jon Jacobson, Don Jacobson (Patti) and Thomas Jacobson (Gwendolyn "Wendy"); and his brothers-in-law, Harvey Henning (Leanne), Steve Henning (Cora) and Neil Pursley (Beth). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 4715 Sherman Rd., Oshkosh, WI 54901. The military honors will be held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
