She was predeceased by : her parents, Gustav Behnke and Ida Behnke (Ahrens); her husband Clarence Schaut of John's Lutheran Church; her brothers, Roy and Raymond; and her brother-in-law Ray Thor.

She is survived by : her children, Dennis Schaut (Julie), Jeff Schaut (Sandy Hanson) and Renee Vande Hei (Randy); her grandchildren, Bryant Schaut (Ashley), Lauren Schaut, Ashley Schaut, John Schaut, Abby Detrick (Tim), Bryan Shevy (Amanda), Kyle Vande Hei (Kristin), Chelsea Nabak (Jesse) and Rachel Vande Hei (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Aiden, James, Liam, Landon, Ellyana and Casen; her siblings, Linda Votava (Ernie), Mary Nowak (Simon), Diane Marquardt (Harvey), Jeannine Thor and Harvey Behnke (Janet); and her sister-in-law Betty Behnke.
