He was predeceased by: his parents, Visily Romanen and Irina Romanen (Golobokova); his brother Walter Romanov; and his sisters-in-law, Ina Romanov and Laurie Rosemeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Romanov of Platteville; his sons, Nicholas Romanov and Alexander Romanov of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Riley, Cole and Anthony; his sister Valentina Romanov Hill (Leon) of Rochester, NY; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Rosemeyer of Platteville, Jim Rosemeyer (Lorri) and Gary Olson of Platteville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
