He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sr. Littlefield and Mildred Littlefield (Humphrey); his son Greg Littlefield; his siblings, Frank, Dick (Jeanice), Earl Jr. (Adeline), Bob Littlefield (Audrey) and Bea Barta (LaVern); and his sisters-in-law, Loretta Gumm (Milton) and Ramelda Wunsch (Leslie).

He is survived by: his wife Georgine Zimmermann; his children, Gary Littlefield (Susan), Mark Littlefield, Diane Mueller, Nancy Hellmer (Charles), Cheryl Littlefield and Jane Habeck (Vern); his grandchildren, Rene Pennell, Matthew Pennell, Sean Littlefield, Kyanne Littlefield, Cassandra Littlefield, Jade Littlefield, Ryan Mueller and Ava Littlefield; his stepgreat-grandchild Brianne Pennell; and his sister-in-law Eunice Littlefield.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gene's name.
