He was predeceased by : his parents, Anthony Mezera and Grace Mezera (Wall); his son Douglas; his siblings, Sylvester Mezera and Margaret Arado; his granddaughters, Grace Mary Mezera, Laura and Mariah Dudenbostel; and also Mariajane.

He is survived by : his spouse Mariajane Braudt; his children, Vicki Dudenbostel (Martin), Michael Mezera (Judy), Greg Mezera (Beth), William Mezera (Windy), Karen Hertrampf and Amanda Poynter (Matthew); his sisters, Therese Hromadka, Phyllis Lee and Anne Mezera; and his grandchildren, Abby Dudenbostel, Michael Hagensick (Brayanne), Kevin, Catherine Warrington, Steven Anderson (Becky Swiggum), Nicole Beisner, Liz Swatek (Brett), Douglas, Austin, Ashley Mezera, Venessa Udelhoven (Alexander), Alysa Mulrooney (Jordan), Kelly Rokusek (Kyle), Tyler, Travis Hertrampf, Blake, Gracelyn, Lucas and Olivia Poynter. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
