He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Mezera and Helen Mezera (Cejka); his former wives, Janice Buege and Marcella Hurda; his siblings, Theresa Langkamp (Frank), Florence Finney (Ivan), Edward, Frank and Andy Mezera; and his brother-in-law Terry Powers.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Taylor; his sons, Jeffrey (Janet) and Paul (Lisa); and his siblings, Catherine Rauch (Edward), Patricia Valley (Elmer), Clara Powers, Helen Jelinek (Doug), Ronald Mezera (Gale) and Raymond Mezera (Carol). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
