He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gillitzer and Carmen Gillitzer (Campbell); his wife Karolyn Gillitzer of Gabriel's Catholic Church; his son Michael Gillitzer; his sister Roberta Marfilius (Lyle Marfilius); and his sister-in-law Joanie Gillitzer.
He is survived by: his son Mark; his grandsons, Daniel (Paige), Nicholas (Jacquelyn) and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Denning, Cooper and Stevie; his brother James Gillitzer; his sister-in-law Karen Candra; Susan Gillitzer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home (704 S Ohio St, Prairie du Chien, WI 53821). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
