He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Oehler and Flavia Oehler (Cattrysse); his wife Loretta Vancura; his children, Anne Olson (Tim), Mark Oehler (Kris), Mary McDonnell (David) and Tom Oehler (Mary); and his grandchildren, Andrew Drake (Lindsey), Jenny Summers (Brian), Mike Olson (Kristin), Clarissa Russell (Sean), Nathaniel Oehler, Kelly, Megan McDonnell, Ben Oehler, Sam (Catie) and Angie Drake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Prairie du Chien Historical Society or the National Mole Day Foundation.
