It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raymond Check of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Check and Elizabeth Check (White); his wife Virginia Stoeffler; and his siblings, Phillip, Arthur, Josie Cipra, Mae Balk and Rosella Stagman.
He is survived by: his sons, Raymond (Pam) and David Check; his grandchildren, Regina, Eric and Amy; and his great grandchildren, Kadence, Matthew, Austi, Calleigh and Alexandra. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Crawford County Veterans Service Office.
