He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Staves and Estella Staves (Kohn); his children, Rayne, Ryan and Ricky; and his siblings, David, Whalen and Deanna Durch.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Grensing; his children, Becky Staves of Menomonie, Jamie Staves of Prairie Farm, Brandon Staves of Cameron and Jason Staves of Mauston; his grandchildren, Jasmin Hockenson, Austin Ropes, Clay, Spencer, Shawn Staves, Mackenzie and Mikayla Schuldt; his siblings, Calvin Staves (Sandy) of Chippewa Falls, Mark Staves of Superior, Roger Staves of Eau Claire, Dennis Staves of Chippewa Falls, Bernard Staves (Sue) of Ridgeland, Colleen Kolpien (Donnie) of Cadott, Carolyn Rodewald of Rice Lake and Yvonne Hakes (Clifford) of Cadott; and his sisters-in-law, Sue and Suzi Staves. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
