He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Cervantes and Elvira Mendez Cervantes; his wife Sylvia Guzman; his stepfather Trino Espinoza; his in-laws, Juan and Rosa Guzmán; his sister-in-law Marcella Guzmán; and his cousin Robert Quintanilla.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Cervantes (Tony Leissner), Andres Cervantes (Stacy) and Marcella Nicholson (Jack); his grandchildren, Carlos and Olivia; and his siblings, Fred Espinoza (Virginia), Louie Espinoza (Colette Salmanowicz), Maggie Tapia (Ruben) and Richard Espinoza. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
