He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter J. and Florence; and his brothers, Jim (Myrtle), Robert (Betty) and Paul Glassen (Mary Ann).

He is survived by : his wife Diane Glassen; his children, Karla Andersen (Shawn) and Peter Glassen (Kelly); his grandchildren, Ryan Andersen (Michaila), Daniel Andersen (Hayley), Leah Heidenrich (John) and Eve Andersen; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, James Mia, Lily, Christopher, Ellory and Noah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials to St. John Lutheran Church have been suggested.
