He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clark Widener and Valera Widener (Gollmar); his children, Franklin (Natisha) of Sioux Falls, SD and Dina Widener of Ravena, NY; his siblings, Cheryl Adelman (Mike), Beverly Gates, Karen Diece (Jim), Laurie Daugs (Buddy), Norma Willey (Jerry), Alice Elias, Linda, Carolyn Adams, Charlene Wright, James Widener, Lyall Widener, Jon Gollmar, Clark Riegel and Charlotte Gollmar; his brothers-in-law, James Gates, Ray Elias and Toby; and his nephew Todd Gates. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
