He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Wakeman and Delores Wakeman (Erdman). He is survived by : his brothers, Alan (Kristy) and Russell (Elizabeth) of Rio; his nephews, Jason (Amanda), Craig (Tammy), Joshua (Marya), Eric Wakeman, Mitch Reuter (Kelci) and Daniel Dembek (Megan); his niece Shelby Wakeman (Dylan Schmidt); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ava Wakeman, McKenzie, Kailyn Dembek, Eli, Hudson and Keagan Wakeman; his aunts, Doris Guenther and MaryAnn Hatzinger; and his uncle Robert. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard's memory will be given to a charity of the family's choice.
