He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton DeFere and Dorothy DeFere (Seiler); and his brother Ron. He is survived by: his wife Joanne M. Rohr; his children, Dr. Michelle Acton (Stephen) of Hubertus, WI and Bart DeFere (Debbie) of Shawano, WI; his sister Bonnie Gezella (Leon) of Green Bay, WI; his siblings-in-law, Ann DeFere of Two Rivers, WI and Dr. Roger Rohr (Mary Lou) of Fenton, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Nicole and Bailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
