He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schlichting and Margaret Schlichting; and his sister Mary Schlichting. He is survived by: his children, Susan Karstaedt (Brian), Kim Fraser (Dave), Scott Schlichting and Daniel Schlichting; his grandchildren, Mikayla Schlichting, Evan Behnke, Elijah Behnke, Aaron Schlichting, Alyssa Schlichting, Mackenzie Karstaedt and Maridee Fraser; and his brother Larry Schlichting.
