He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth VanderVeen (Onnink); his daughter Nancy; his parents, Gerhard VanderVeen and Hilda VanderVeen (Schaar); his parent-in-law Reuben Onnink; his sisters, Marcella Hopp (Harold), Delores Krueger and Marlene Gross (Jim); his brothers-in-law, Bob Winter and Owen Bruggink; and also Olive Onnink (Bloomers).
He is survived by: his sisters, Marcy and Dee; his grandchildren, Katie Martin (David), Therese, Gabrielse and Jared Flom; his great grandchildren, Aaron Wade and Seth Wade; his sisters, Helen Winter of Appleton and Betty Schirpke of Marshfield; and his sister-in-law Judy Bruggink of Menasha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
