He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Zelle and Florence Zelle (Fox); his mother-in-law Gladys Sargent; his siblings, Tom Zelle and Kathy Berg; and his nephew Travis Bowe.
He is survived by: his wife Lorie J. Sargent; his daughters, Jennifer Hackel (Scott) of Madison, Alison Zelle (Cliff Kissinger) and Kiel; his granddaughters, Talia and Alexa of Madison; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Bowe (Ron), Judy Zelle, Jeff Sargent (Terry) and Larry Sargent (Kim). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.
