She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Thornton and Olga Zager Thornton; her husband Edward "Rocky" Zimmerman; her siblings, Eunice Fetterer (Paul) and Elroy Schultz (Martha); and her grandson Martin McAlpin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gail McAlpin of Sheboygan and Sheila Ries (Robert) of Sheboygan; her grandchildren, Laurie DeBauche (Kevin), Jennifer Methfessel (Kevin), Valerie Hummitzsch (Shayne), JoAnn Heiberger (Tavis) and Crystal Ruppert (Ben Hart); her great grandchildren, Breann, Alexia, Ashley, Kylie, Ethan, Lillian, Madison, Olivia and Lacey; and her stepdaughters, Mary O'Brien and Caroline Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, in-laws and friends.
