He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Splittgerber (Brandt) and Elmer Splittgerber; and his siblings, Robert and Ruth Teuscher. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hoffmann; his sons, Tom Splittgerber (Vicki), Jeff Splittgerber, Mike Splittgerber (Beth) and Mark Splittgerber; and his grandchildren, Julia, Jared, Paige, Joshua, Tyler, Ryan and Anna.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics of Sheboygan, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
