He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Binder and Margaret Herman Binder; his daughter Deborah Dassow; his sister Irene Binder; his grandson Dominic VanEss; his great grandchild Aurora Wagner; his son-in-law Gary V. Visser; and his brothers-in-law, Sam Samulowitz and Dennis O'Neil.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Dassow; his children, Richard Dassow (Debbie), Paula Zeman (Mike), Al Dassow (Lynn), Dennis Dassow, Lisa Visser, Brenda Wagner and Maria Eisner; his grandchildren, Whitney, Crystal, Rick, Nicholas, Danny, Dan, Andy, Jeff, Kaitlin, Samantha, Danielle, Alex, Amanda, Adriana, Travis, Elliot and Quintin; and his siblings, Robert Binder (Nancy), Henrietta Samulowitz, Marzy O'Neil and Dorothy Brown (Herbie). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Dominic Catholic Church.
