It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Okonek of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, born in Frederic, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 10, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Blood (Johnson) and Henry Blood; her husband Don Okonek; her stepfather Martin Peterson; her siblings, Walter Brooks, Wayne Brooks and Doris McMahon; and her grandson Trevor Okonek.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Perger (Vic) of Spokane, WA, Jerry Okonek (Linda) and Jean Ranney (Terry) of Hudson, WI; her grandchildren, Allison Ashley, Stephanie Avery, Dan Okonek, Cathy Furgason, Heather Okonek and Kyle Okonek; her great grandchildren, Isabelle, Declan, Liesel Ashley, Eleanor, Jackson, Greta, Creed Furgason and Whitney Okonek; and her sisters, Edna Cahoy of Hudson, WI and Arlene Mrkonich of Minnetrista, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID situation, a small family service is planned for Saturday November 14, 2020 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in the Town of Scott with burial in the Sacred Hearts cemetery.
