He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Atkinson and Marjorie Atkinson (Walker); and his siblings, Tommy, Cyrus, Ed Jimmy (Leslie), Lyle, Robert, Dale (Lester) and Kathleen Hotchkiss.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna Atkinson; his children, Steven Atkinson (Pat), Ronald Atkinson, Andrew Atkinson (Tam), Jody Atkinson and Katherine Scheffel (Calvin); and his brothers, Russell, Jerry and John Atkinson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
