He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Zito and Lorna Zito (Robertson); his half-brother Raymond Anderson; his stepfather Paul Tarnowske; and his son James Patrick Zito.

He is survived by : his wife Margaret "Noni" Hogan; his son Jack; his grandchildren, Anne (Tavis), Christopher Stephen (Shannon), Benjamin Stephen (Jane), William Zito, Jennifer Zito, Jillian Zito (Charles Whitwam) and Austin Zito; and his sister Bay.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Jack's memory to Scandia Village and Unity Hospice.
