She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Vernon and Marguerite Elizabeth Slater (Sage); her husband Dick Van Vleet; and her stepdaughter Deborah. She is survived by : her siblings, David Slater (Kay) and Nancy Slater; and her stepchildren, Tom (Becky) and Laurie (Steve). She is also survived by many close friends, nieces, and nephews.
