He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grobschmidt and Ann Grobschmidt; his wives, Leone (Repech) and Lorraine (Schweitzer); his son Richard Grobschmidt; his grandson Brian Orozco; his siblings, Gilbert, John and Lucille; and his friend Eugene Chodkowski.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Southerlin (Bo); his daughter-in-law Barbara; his grandchildren, Tamara Grobschmidt-German (John) and Gregory Orozco; his great grandchildren, Josie, Harper and Bennett; his children, Sharon Cowles (Dan), Patricia Briesemeister (Tom), Jim Schweitzer (Karen) and Jon Schweitzer (Leslie); and his stepgreat-grandchild Chet.
