He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Kopecko and Emily Kopecko (Lindberg); his wife Jeri Ann Reinwand; his children, Peter James Kopecko of Stevens Point and LeeAnn Kopecko of Stevens Point; his grandson Dane Leach; and his brothers, Chuck Kopecko (Julie) of Bessemer, MI and William Kopecko (Beverly).
