He was predeceased by: his parents, Carleton Hahn and Mary Hahn (Brum); his wife Bonnie Jean Techlin; and his sister Jean. He is survived by: his son Derik Hahn (Allicia) of Cary, IL; his grandchildren, Melanie and Ryan; his great grandchild Natasha Jaworski (Ken) of Stevens Point; and also, Jake and Jada.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard's name can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
