He was predeceased by: his parents, George Midthun and Clara Midthun (Halverson); his daughter Denise Midthun; his siblings, David Midthun, Terry Midthun, Gene Midthun and Marjorie Stenli; and his significant other Sandy Nelson.

He is survived by: his son Robert Allen Midthun; his grandchildren, Kato Midthun and Wyatt Midthun; and his great grandchild Aubre Midthun. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials donations may be made to Harvey's family to be designated at a later date.
