He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Halverson and Lucretia Halverson; his wife Elaine B. Nelson; his son David; and his siblings, Robert and Lois.

He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Grunewald (Phillip); his grandson William R. Elsing; and his great grandchild Sheyenne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Hwy B. Stoughton, WI 53589.
