With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Genevieve Jeannet Richard of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, born in Gladstone, Michigan, who passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesse James Cartwright and Delia Mary Cartwright (LaPalm); her husband Charles "Chuck" Arthur Richard; her grandchildren, Chandall Johnson (Curt), Robin (Michelle), Amthia, CJ Richard, Tracy Klink (Brian), Chad Richard, Matt Richard (Hannah) and Heather Kowalski (Chris); her son Leland Richard; her great grandchild Michael Anthony Lane; her siblings, Virgiline Johnson (Roy) and Larry Cartwright; and her siblings-in-law, Eva Berninghaus (Amos), Alfred "Mike" Richard (May), Grace Burlo (Charles), Ernie Richard, Henry "Hank" Richard (Linda), Amanda Dietrich (Adolph) and Bill Richard.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Richard (Ya) of Suring, WI, Nancy Richard of Pensacola, FL, Kim Brungraber (Russell) of Pensacola, FL, Mark Richard (Mary), Holly Richard (Monica Hodges) of Green Bay, WI and Amy Markstrom (Robert); her great grandchildren, Deanna (Troy), Colt, Riley, Kyle, Emily, Tyler, Augustus and Oliver; her daughter-in-law Beverly Richard of Kaukauna, WI; and her sister-in-law Joan Cartwright of Green Bay, WI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and cousins who were like sisters and brothers to her; other relatives; and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (110 N 5th Ave, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be given Genevieve's name for The Catholic Daughters of the Americas or the St. John the Baptist Altar Society (payable to Stella Maris Parish).
